The Club

An on-chain club with a world attached.

Normies Yacht Club is a fully on-chain, CC0 collection of generative pixel-art yachts — each born from a burned Normie — and a navigable 3D marina where every yacht sails in real time. Most projects hand you a picture. Here, you get a place, a club, and a direction.

Four classes, from the common base to the marquee. Rarity is earned, not assigned — the burned Normie decides it. See how rarity works →

Born from a burn

Every yacht is generated from the exact Normie that was burned to create it — its identity is its provenance. Supply is burn-gated: it grows only as Normies are burned, so no class can ever be inflated into existence. The art and traits live entirely on-chain and are permanently frozen. The claim is free — you pay only gas.

The roots — the Normies

NYC didn't appear from nowhere. It grew out of the Normies: 10,000 monochrome pixel faces that live entirely on Ethereum — no servers, no hosted files, CC0 to the core. Burning is native to their world, and that fire is exactly what gives a yacht its life. We are part of them.

10,000 faces · zero servers · CC0

The Normifesto is an independent community guide to what the Normies are, how burning works, and where their world is going. It's the best place to understand the ground NYC is built on.

"This was never about building another collection on top of the Normies — it's a layer built for them. We build for them, not over them."

Live today

None of this is a promise for later — it's running right now, on the live site:

The 3D marina
Sail your yacht across a navigable bay of islands, day and night, with a cinematic follow camera.
Live
Real multiplayer
See other members sailing in real time — every claimed yacht on the water at once.
Live
The Lounge
A members-only chat inside the marina. Sail in and talk with the crew.
Live
Anchor Points
Earn passively just by holding — rarity sets the rate. Nothing is locked; trade any time, and what you earned by holding stays yours.
Live
The Chandlery
Spend Anchor Points on permanent cosmetics — signed by your wallet, no gas, no funds.
Live
NormieRadio
One synced station for the whole marina — everyone hears the same second at the same moment.
Live
The Register
A live, on-chain leaderboard of the fleet — standing that updates as holdings change.
Live
Public CC0 API
Every yacht's art and traits, readable by anyone — build games, apps, derivatives.
Live
The Regatta
A season on the water. Everyone starts level at zero; standing comes from what you earn during the season and from turning up. Divisions by fleet size, so one yacht competes too.
Live
Prestige Berths
Scarce moorings in the harbour, claimed with Anchor Points and visible to everyone on the water. Spending never lowers your standing. Closed while Season I runs — they reopen when the season does.
Built
An account per yacht
Every yacht has an Ethereum address of its own under ERC-6551 — computed from its token id, needing no permission and no change to the contract. Activate it, hold ETH in it, move things out. The account belongs to the token, so whatever it holds is sold with the yacht. Open The Purser to see yours.
Live
Island Pedigree
The ten yachts you burn set an island's grade — Cay, Isle, Estate or Flagship — on weights that are the fleet's measured scarcity. Bands published in advance; choose ten and see the island before you light the fire.
Live
Island forging
Burn 10 yachts, mint 1 island — net supply −9, permanently. The function is deployed on mainnet and switched off (islandsOpen = false, totalIslands = 0). Opens at the close of the second Regatta season.
At Season II
The Shipyard
CC0 tools built on the club — ours and the community's — reachable from the marina itself.

Why members hold

The horizon

Season I is a test, and we say so out loud. It is a standings season, in 2D. We shipped the skeleton first because the hard part of a competition isn't the animation — it's whether the scoring is fair, whether a small holder can win, and whether it can be gamed. Those answers come from running it with real people. Season II is that lesson applied: four divisions instead of three, so a five-yacht holder is not measured against a fifty-yacht one, and a Commodore's Cup decided on watches kept rather than points — the overall title going to whoever showed up most, not whoever holds most. Season III is the real race: a timed course on the water, buoys and gates, live heats. Fairness first, animation after.

The wider point: we're proving that a small economy — earning, spending, competing — can be fair and alive while nothing is at stake. Get that right, in the open, and the same rails can carry more later.

NYC is a long game, built in the open. At the close of the second Regatta season, holders will burn 10 yachts to forge an Island — and those Islands become Agent Islands: open, on-chain worlds where autonomous NFT-agents — yours and other collections' — live, act and interact. As the era of Agent NFTs begins, NYC is building to be its first open home.

All of it in one place. The direction is a single 3D world you sail into — the marina, the season, the tools, the islands — rather than a scattering of pages. The Shipyard is where that world starts growing sideways: anyone can build on the fleet, and what gets built comes aboard.

And the Normies come with us. They are the founding citizens of this world — their agents get a home here, not a copy. This is a direction we're sailing, not a dated promise. What's above under "Live today" is what you get now.
